Why COVID-19 is Still a Problem for Businesses



Dear creators and partners,

I am super excited about what we have
lined up for the fall-winter season at Guide.

We're taking things to the next level.
With that said, I really want to take a step-back and share my learnings from our Spring-Summer season.

COVID-19 is still a prevalent challenge for so many companies.
Many organizations are still trying to adapt post COVID-19.

COVID-19, to a degree, is causing
what some have called the great resignation.
We're seeing people leave the workforce by the millions.

With that said, onboarding & training at millions of businesses still hasn't changed. It just hasn't. Even with the assortment of tools that exist in today's market.
It's incredibly broken and no one is doing anything to change this. Absolutely no one.

At least not how we envision at Guide.
Some companies are refusing to change their practices.

They want to go back to the way things used to be, which is unfortunate and sad for their culture and employees.
For example, the other day I was working at a coffee shop and I noticed a lady interviewing students one by one like it was an assembly line. I felt sick to my stomach.

This is not the way hiring or onboarding should look, ever.
You should look to make the first 90-day experience feel phenomenal for your employees, your teammates, not as if they are working in an assembly line.
